Description: The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is announcing the availability of funds for new and renewing suicide prevention grants under the Staff Sergeant Fox Suicide Prevention Grant Program (SSG Fox SPGP) for services in Federal Fiscal Year (FY) 2027.  The SSG Fox SPGP directs efforts to reduce Veteran suicide by awarding grants to community-based organizations to directly provide or coordinate the provision of primarily non-clinical suicide prevention services to eligible individuals and their families. Eligible individuals include certain Veterans and Active-Duty Service Members as defined by statute and regulations. Veteran suicide risk is reduced by services that improve mental health status, well-being, financial stability, and social support. Services provided by grantees may include case management, peer support, linkage to VA care and benefits, emergency clinical services, faith-based or innovative approaches. Most Veterans who die by suicide were not engaged with VA in the years prior to their deaths. This program addresses a critical gap by engaging and serving Veterans at risk for suicide who were previously out of VA’s reach and their family members. The $150 million represents the combined amounts authorized for this program for Fiscal Years (FYs) 2024, 2025, and 2026. FHWA may also award any remaining and available funds from FY 2023 under this opportunity. The actual amount available to be awarded under this notice will be subject to the availability of funds. The purpose of the BIT3 Program is to fund the replacement or rehabilitation of county-owned bridges that are classified as Type 3 bridges[1] by the U.S. Department of Interior Bureau of Reclamation (USBR) and cross a water conveyance structure owned by USBR. Eligible applicants under the BIT3 Competitive Grant Program are counties which own a Type 3 bridge crossing a water conveyance structure owned by USBR. Projects eligible for funding are projects for the replacement or rehabilitation of bridges that: (A) are owned by a county; (B) are classified as a Type 3 bridge by USBR; (C) are eligible under the Federal Lands Access Program (FLAP) (23 United States Code (U.S.C.) § 204); and (D) cross a water conveyance structure owned by USBR. The BIT3 Competitive Grant Program does not require a minimum cost share. The Federal share for BIT3 Competitive Grant Program funds shall be 100 percent of funds requested for eligible project scope. The Public Diplomacy Section invites proposals for projects that make America and the region safer, stronger, and more prosperous. All project requests must include a Freedom 250 component. The Freedom 250 Initiative is part of the celebration of the 250th anniversary of America’s founding. Activities under this initiative should be either cultural or educational, or a connection with American experts, organizations, or institutions, to promote greater understanding of U.S. policy, perspectives, and American excellence. Activities should be carried out in collaboration or coordination with the U.S. Embassy Guatemala’s Public Diplomacy Section (PDS). These activities should celebrate American excellence, and reinforce that the United States remains a trusted, dynamic partner. Priority Program Areas/Goals: Proposals should focus on one or more of the priority outcomes, but applicants may also recommend their own objective. Goal 1.
