The purpose of this Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) is to stimulate HIV/AIDS research within the scientific mission areas of the National Institute on Deafness and Other Communications Disorders (NIDCD). Applications should address high priority HIV/AIDS research outlined by the NIH Office of AIDS Research (OAR) [https://www.oar.nih.gov/hiv-policy-and-research/research-priorities] in the areas of hearing, balance, taste, smell, voice, speech, and language.For applications proposing a clinical trial, only low risk clinical trials will be supported.

The purpose of this notice of funding opportunity (NOFO) is to support translational and clinical research to (1) advance precision medicine in pregnant women, lactating women, and children through the development of novel tools, models, and other technologies that could have a direct clinical or health impact; (2) enhance the understanding of the underlying mechanisms of drug action, including the role of pediatric ontogeny and the dynamic physiological changes that occur during pregnancy and lactation; and (3) discover and develop novel therapeutics or enhance the usage of existing drugs or drug repurposing for safer and more effective medications in pregnant and lactating women, neonates, and children. The overall goal is to improve safe and effective precision therapeutics for pregnant and lactating women, fetuses, neonates, and children, including those with disabilities.

The Center for Inherited Disease Research (CIDR) high-throughput genotyping, sequencing and supporting statistical genetics services are designed to aid the identification of genes or genetic modifications that contribute to human health and disease or to enhance existing collections of well-phenotyped specimens in biorepositories by the addition of genotype or next-generation sequence data. The laboratory specializes in genomic services that cannot be efficiently carried out in individual investigator laboratories. CIDR provides the most up-to-date platforms, services and statistical genetic support. This is an NIH-wide initiative that is managed by NHGRI. Rural Communities Opioid Response Program (RCORP)-Planning supports organizations in rural communities to build the partnerships and foundational capacity needed to develop, implement and sustain a comprehensive system of substance use disorder (SUD) and related services. RCORP"s focus is on opioid misuse and its impact on rural America. However, HRSA recognizes that people who misuse opioids often struggle with other substances as well, including alcohol. Individuals struggling with SUD, including opioid use disorder (OUD), need a continuum of mental, behavioral, and related social supports. RCORP-Planning helps address these needs in a comprehensive way.This program is intended for rural communities that may find the logistics or requirements of larger, more complex federal grant programs to be barriers to accessing start-up support. Funding will serve as a critical first step to creating SUD service systems that make care easy to access, strengthen the behavioral health workforce, and have strong community buy-in. It will help prepare communities to provide sustainable prevention, treatment, recovery, and other supportive services that:reduce substance use initiation and misuse,address the mental, behavioral, and psychosocial needs of people who use illicit substances or misuse alcohol, or are in recovery from substance use problems, andreduce disease and death related to substance use problems, including OUD, in high-risk rural communities.The intent of this program is to fund planning activities only. Funds may not be used for direct service delivery.

The Rural Communities Opioid Response Program (RCORP)–Impact funds rural communities to drive measurable improvements in access to integrated, coordinated treatment and recovery services for substance use disorder (SUD), including opioid use disorder (OUD). Its long-term aim is to reduce morbidity and mortality associated with SUD and enable sustained recovery and well-being.The program supports:New or expanded evidence-based SUD prevention, treatment, and recovery services in rural areas;Coordination across health and supportive social services to enable sustained, long-term recovery;A larger, more responsive workforce to address SUD-related needs; andMulti-sector community networks to strengthen and sustain local service delivery.The focus of RCORP-Impact is on reducing the impact of opioid misuse on rural America. The Telehealth Nutrition Services Network Grant Program will support telehealth networks that improve access to quality health care services through telehealth technology. This program will use telehealth nutrition services to help prevent and manage chronic diseases.

​​The Rural Residency Planning and Development (RRPD) program improves and expands rural health care access. It does this by developing new, accredited, sustainable rural residency programs, including rural track programs (RTPs). ​Newly created rural physician residency programs increase training and ultimately practice in rural areas to address physician shortages. ​The RRPD program provides start-up funding to create new rural residency programs in qualifying medical specialties. Long-term sustainability funding must come from viable and stable sources, such as Medicare, Medicaid, and other public or private sources. ​Qualifying medical specialties are:​Family medicine.​Internal medicine.​Preventive medicine.​Psychiatry.​General surgery.​Obstetrics and gynecology.​For this notice of funding opportunity (NOFO), rural residency programs:​Are accredited physician residency programs.​Train residents in clinical training sites that are physically located in a rural area as defined by HRSA"s Federal Office of Rural Health Policy (FORHP) for greater than 50 percent of their total time in residency.​Focus on preparing physicians to practice in rural communities.

The purpose of the notice of funding opportunity (NOFO) is to solicit applications for a Coccidioidomycosis Collaborative Research Centers (CCRC) program. This new initiative will establish highly collaborative, multi-disciplinary, research teams to conduct translational and clinical research to support the development of a Valley fever vaccine as outlined in NIAID's Strategic Plan for Research to Develop a Valley fever Vaccine.

The purpose of this notice of funding opportunity (NOFO) is to support applications for the Tuberculosis (TB) Research Advancement Centers (TRACs) program. The goal of the TRACs is to develop the next generation of TB researchers and to catalyze multidisciplinary and innovative TB science by providing expertise and resources to facilitate basic and clinical TB research.

The purpose of the NINDS Child Neurology Career Development Program (CNCDP) is to facilitate and support the research career development of physicians specialized in Child Neurology who have made a commitment to independent research careers. The CNCDP is a single national program, implemented by one or more PD/PIs, together with an advisory committee composed of basic and clinical investigators who have a strong record of funded research and successful training of physicianscientists. The CNCDP will generally provide three consecutive years of support to individuals to provide them with the knowledge, tools and research experience that will enable them to develop a significant research project funded by an individual career development award or research grant.

The Rural Northern Border Region Network Planning (RNBR-NP) Program provides one-year funding to build new or strengthen existing healthcare networks in the Northern Border Region. RNBR-NP uses network development as a strategy for linking rural health care stakeholders together for greater collective capacity to overcome local challenges, expand access, and improve the quality of care in the rural communities these organizations serve.

The NFLP seeks to increase the number of qualified nursing faculty nationwide by providing:Low-interest loans for students studying to be nurse faculty. Loan cancelation for graduates who go on to work as faculty. NFLP graduates can have up to 85 percent of their student loan and interest canceled if they work full-time as nurse faculty for up to four years. This includes Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRNs) who work full-time as preceptors in academic-practice partnerships.

OPA"s Embryo Adoption Awareness and Services program aims to increase public awareness of embryo adoption as a method of family building and to provide individuals adopting embryos the medical and administrative services deemed necessary for such adoptions. Recipients of the EAA program should be individuals that are currently involved, soon may be involved, or are interested in adopting or donating embryos, and the medical facilities/providers involved in assisting those individuals with embryo adoption and donation.

The purpose of the NIA Career Transition Award (CTA) is to facilitate the transition of mentored researchers to tenure-track faculty conducting research that advances the mission of NIA. The purpose of the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program (RWHAP) Part D program is to provide family-centered care in outpatient or ambulatory care settings to low-income women (25 years and older) with HIV, infants (up to 2 years of age) exposed to or with HIV, children (ages 2 to 12) with HIV, and youth (ages 13 to 24) with HIV. The RWHAP Part D funding is intended to improve access to coordinated and comprehensive HIV medical care and support services). The services often include case management, behavioral health, nutrition services, and referrals to specialty care. As the only component of the RWHAP that supports services for affected individuals not living with HIV, Part D may fund services when the primary purpose is to enable the affected individual to participate in the care of a person with HIV, to directly remove barriers to care for the person with HIV, or to promote family stability.

The NIH Research Education Program (R25) supports research education activities in the mission areas of the NIH. The over-arching goal of this NINDS R25 program is to support educational activities that complement and/or enhance the training of a workforce to meet the nations biomedical, behavioral and clinical research needs.

This Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) aims to support new biomedical, behavioral, and social science investigators who are in the early stages of establishing independent careers in tobacco regulatory research. The R03 grant mechanism supports different types of projects, including pilot and feasibility studies, secondary analysis of existing data, small, self-contained research projects, development of research methodology, and development of new research technology. Applicants are encouraged to conduct projects that ultimately have the potential to inform regulations on tobacco product manufacturing, distribution, and marketing. Research projects must address one or more High-Priority Research Topic(s) related to the regulatory authority of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Center for Tobacco Products (CTP) as mandated by the Family Smoking Prevention and Tobacco Control Act (FSPTCA), Public Law 111-31. The awards under this NOFO will be administered by NIH using funds made available through FDA CTP and the FSPTCA. Research results from this NOFO are expected to generate findings and data directly relevant to informing the FDA's regulation of the manufacture, distribution, and marketing of tobacco products to protect public health.

The purpose of this notice of funding opportunity (NOFO) is to solicit applications for pilot projects to identify new druggable targets for pain within the understudied druggable proteome. Awards will support generation of preliminary data and/or tools around eligible understudied protein(s) listed in this NOFO. This NOFO is intended to jumpstart research on understudied proteins within the context of pain and pain management and provide applicants with sufficient funding to perform basic biochemical and/or biological work to further the characterization of understudied proteins to identify new druggable targets for pain. This NOFO is part of the NIH Helping to End Addiction Long Term (HEAL) initiative to accelerate the development of novel medications to treat all aspects of the opioid addiction cycle, including progression to chronic use, withdrawal symptoms, craving, relapse, and overdose.

The purpose of the Rehabilitation Engineering Research Centers (RERC) program is to improve the effectiveness of services authorized under the Rehabilitation Act by conducting advanced engineering research on and development of innovative technologies that are designed to solve particular rehabilitation problems or to remove environmental barriers. The purpose of this RERC is to conduct research on, develop, and evaluate Artificial Intelligence (AI)-driven assistive and rehabilitation technologies that enhance independence, participation, and quality of life for people with disabilities. Many existing assistive and rehabilitation technologies lack adaptability, personalization, and seamless integration into daily life. AI and machine learning (ML) offer trans-formative potential to address these gaps by enabling smarter, more responsive, and individualized assistive and rehabilitation technologies. AI-driven innovations in assistive and rehabilitation technology can shift them from static tools to dynamic, intelligent systems that continuously learn and adapt in real time to individual preferences, needs, and changing abilities. This grant will have a 60-month project period, with five 12-month budget periods.

The Maternal Produce Prescription Program (MP3) will provide grants to develop and implement community-based produce prescription programs and related nutrition education for maternal populations at risk of poor health outcomes due to nutrition insecurity and other health-related factors.

The Delta Rural Integrated Health Network Program seeks to improve healthcare delivery in the region by supporting the development of integrated health networks among rural hospitals, primary care clinics, behavioral health providers and other essential services.
