The Automated Permitting Systems Demonstration NOFO is intended to support jurisdictions that will deploy automated building code permitting systems and partner with HUD to evaluate their applicability and effectiveness within real-world operating conditions. This demonstration will test the real-world deployment of an automated permitting platform within a government permitting environment to evaluate its effects on processing timelines, workflow efficiency, staff roles, and applicant experience. The demonstration will generate empirical evidence on operational performance, costs, governance needs, and potential cost savings to inform broader adoption by state and local jurisdictions.

FY 2026 WIC Infrastructure Grants must be used for one or more of the three objectives identified below. Proposals may contain more than one objective. Please see the Request for Applications under the "Related Documents" tab for additional information on these objectives and other grant requirements. Applicants must clearly identify in their proposal which of the objective(s) they have selected.Consortia may only apply for objective 3.Objective #1: Promoting Program Integrity to Minimize Waste, Fraud, and AbuseState agencies will implement policy, process, and/or technology improvements in the WIC Program that ensure taxpayer dollars are used for their intended purpose and serve as many eligible women, infants, and children as possible.Objective #2: Creating Opportunities to Connect America’s Farmers to WICState agencies will make technological improvements necessary to allow WIC Cash Value Benefit to be redeemed at farmers markets. All activities and costs are allowable for the WIC program only. Farmers Market Nutrition Program (FMNP) activities and costs are not allowed to be paid for with WIC funds, including this funding opportunity and the WIC General Infrastructure funds.Objective #3: Developing and Implementing Modernized TechnologyState agencies will update WIC MIS and/or WIC Electronic Benefits Transfer(EBT) systems to ensure data accuracy and system compliance and/or implementing digital services that ensure that the State agency runs an efficient WIC program.

The purpose of this program is to prevent and reduce substance use and overdose among American Indian and Alaska Native youth and young adults through age 24 by building community-driven prevention systems, services, and partnerships. Your organization will use evidence-based and locally tailored strategies.

The NPD program provides grants to public and private nonprofit institutions of higher education (IHEs) and public and private entities with relevant experience and capacity, in consortia with State educational agencies (SEAs) and/or local educational agencies (LEAs) to implement pre-service and in-service professional development activities.

The Fiscal Year 2026 Emergency Operations Center (EOC) Grant Program is intended to improve emergency management and preparedness capabilities by supporting flexible, sustainable, secure, strategically located, and fully interoperable EOCs with a focus on addressing identified deficiences and needs. Fully capable emergency operations facilities at the state and local levels are an essential element of a comprehensive national emergency management system and are necessary to ensure coordination and unity of effort among multiple emergency management organizations and across multiple jurisdictions during major disasters or emergencies caused by any hazard. 

The purpose of this program is to support American Indian and Alaska Native tribes in planning and developing a comprehensive, community-based system of care (SOC). A SOC is defined as a coordinated network of effective mental health and essential supportive services organized to address and meet the varied needs of children, youth, and young adults (birth through age 25), and their families. The SOC approach strives to ensure that mental health services are family-driven and youth-guided, and community-based.

The USDA’s Food and Nutrition Administration works to nourish those in need through financially sound programs that promote health and work, as well as champion the productivity of American agriculture. Consistent with Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins’ guiding principle to take swift action to minimize instances of fraud, waste, and program abuse in nutrition programs, the SNAP Fraud Framework Implementation Grant Program supports State agency efforts to improve and expand recipient fraud prevention, detection, and investigation efforts using the procedures, ideas, and practices outlined in the SNAP Fraud Framework. The SNAP Fraud Framework is designed to support State agencies as they develop new efforts or improve existing ones to prevent, detect, and investigate recipient fraud.Section 29(a) of the Food and Nutrition Act of 2008 (7 U.S.C. 2036b) authorizes FNA to prevent trafficking of SNAP benefits. Based on this authority, Congress has provided funding in annual appropriations in recent years to provide competitive grants to support State agencies in implementing SNAP’s Fraud Framework and to strengthen program integrity activities in SNAP. Up to $5 million has been appropriated in fiscal year (FY) 2026 for State agencies to implement practices described in the SNAP Fraud Framework. Applicants may apply for up to $750,000 in funding. This funding opportunity will be offered on a competitive basis.

The Emergency Management Performance Grant Program focuses on all-hazards emergency preparedness. The primary objective is to assist state, local, tibal, and territorial emergency management agencies to implement the National Preparedness System and to support the National Preparedness Goal of a secure and resilient nation.

This program, authorized under the BIDEN Reimbursement Fund established by the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, Public Law 119-21, Title X, Subtitle A, Part II (codified at 34 U.S.C. § 61101), provides funding for grants to eligible States, State agencies, and units of local government and tribal governments, pursuant to their existing statutory authorities to support the seven statutory purposes outlined in 34 U.S.C. § 61101: 1. Locating and apprehending aliens who have committed a crime under federal, state, or local law, in addition to being unlawfully present in the United States (hereafter referred to as “criminal illegal aliens”). 2. Collection and analysis of law enforcement investigative information within the United States to counter gang or other criminal activity. 3. Investigating and prosecuting (a) crimes committed by aliens within the United States; and (b) drug and human trafficking crimes committed within the United States. 4. Court operations related to the prosecution of (a) crimes committed by aliens; and (b) drug and human trafficking crimes. 5. Temporary criminal detention of aliens. 6. Transporting aliens described in paragraph (1) within the United States to locations related to the apprehension, detention, and prosecution of such aliens. 7. The Secretary of the Interior ("Secretary"), through the Division of Energy and Mineral Development (DEMD), Office of Trust Services, Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA), is soliciting grant proposals from Federally recognized Tribal entities for the Tribal Energy Development Capacity (TEDC) grant. The TEDC grant seeks to build Tribal management, organizational and technical capacity needed to maximize the economic impact of energy resource development on Indian land. Grants may fund development of organizational and business structures for energy development, as well as legal and regulatory infrastructure. Certified Local Governments are encouraged to prioritize projects in support of the celebration of America's 250th birthday (America250). This is a notice of funding opportunity (NOFO) for the FY26 Technology and Equipment Program (TEP). This noncompetitive, invitational, funding opportunity provides funding to state, territorial, local, Tribal, and other entities designated under the heading “Community Oriented Policing Services, Technology and Equipment Community Projects / COPS Law Enforcement Technology and Equipment” in the Congressional Joint Explanatory Statement – Division C, which is incorporated by reference into Public Law 119-74, to develop and acquire effective law enforcement equipment, technologies and interoperable communications that assist in responding to and preventing crime and expand the implementation of community policing. Equipment funded under this program should meet any applicable requirements of the National Institute of Standards and Technology's Office of Law Enforcement Standards.

The purpose of the TOR program is to assist in addressing the overdose crisis in Tribal communities by increasing access to FDA-approved medications for the treatment of opioid use disorder (MOUD), and supporting the continuum of prevention, treatment, and recovery support services for opioid use disorder (OUD) and co-occurring substance use disorders, and stimulant misuse and use disorders, including those involving cocaine and methamphetamine.

The purpose of this program is for the prevention of suicide, suicide attempts, and deaths by suicide among American Indian/Alaska Native youth and young adults through age 24 in Tribal communities.

The Nurse Education, Pracitce, Quality and Retention - Transition to Practice Program (NEPQR-TPP) aims to increase the nursing workforce and address the nursing shortage in rural and medically underserved communities, by supporting innovative educational and clinical training opportunities.

This program supports states in developing and implementing innovative programs to address the oral health workforce needs of Dental Health Professional Shortage Areas (Dental HPSAs).

The Clean Vessel Act Grant Program (CVA) provides cost sharing awards to designated agencies of the 50 States, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the Northern Mariana Islands, Guam, American Samoa, and the U.S. Virgin Islands to provide recreational boaters with facilities to prevent waste disposal into public waterways and improve recreational boating opportunities. Funding for CVA comes from the Sport Fish Restoration and Boating Trust Fund and is authorized by the Clean Vessel Act of 1992 (33 U.S.C. § 1322 Note) and the Dingell-Johnson Sport Fish Restoration Act (16 U.S.C. § 777 et seq.), as amended. The Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communities (BRIC) grant program makes federal funds available to states, U.S. territories, federally recognized tribal governments,, and local governments for hazard mitigation activities. It does so by recognizing the need to upgrade and modernize the nation’s infrastructure against the growing risks to communities and the need for natural hazard risk mitigation activities that promote resilience with respect to natural hazards.Certain awards made under this funding opportunity may be funded, in whole or in part, by the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA). The Office of Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS) is the component of the U.S. Department of Justice responsible for advancing the practice of community policing and supporting the Administration’s priority of Making America Safe Again by the nation’s state, local, territorial and Tribal law enforcement agencies through information and grant resources. The purpose of CHP is to fund law enforcement agencies to hire and/or rehire additional career sworn law enforcement officers/deputies in an effort to increase their community policing capacity and crime prevention efforts. Anticipated outcomes of CHP awards include engagement in planned community partnerships, implementation of projects to analyze and assess problems, implementation of changes to personnel and agency management in support of community policing, and increased capacity of agency to engage in community policing activities.

DE-FOA-0003548: Unleashing Tribal Energy Development Under this Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO), the DOE Office of Indian Energy Policy and Programs is soliciting applications to advance affordable, reliable, and secure energy development of Tribal energy resources for the benefit of Tribes and their members. Projects funded under this NOFO are expected to advance Tribal sovereignty through Tribal energy development, efficiency, and use. Projects under Topic Area 1 are expected to serve the electric loads and support the energy needs of Tribes at the scale of a Tribal community or communities. These projects entail the construction of energy assets and projects. Projects under Topic Area 2 are expected to complete all pre-development activities necessary for the deployment of community scale energy projects. Projects under Topic Area 3 are expected to complete necessary pre-development activities for large scale commercial development of Tribal energy resources which lead to enhancement and strengthening of Tribal energy and economic infrastructure. The National Historic Preservation Act authorizes grants to federally recognized Tribes for cultural and historic preservation projects. These grants assist Tribes, Alaskan Natives, and Native Hawaiian Organizations in protecting and promoting their unique tribal heritage and traditions. The program focuses on what Tribes are most concerned about protecting including but not limited to: Traditional skills, oral history, plant and animal species important in tradition, documentation and preservation of sacred and historic places, and the establishment of tribal historic preservation offices.

The Administration for Children and Families at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is soliciting applications in support of the administration of the School Safety Enhancement (SSE) program on behalf of the U.S. Department of Education (ED) and the Secretary of Education (the Secretary). The SSE program provides competitive grants to State educational agencies (SEAs) to develop, implement, and strengthen statewide school safety systems and the physical security of schools.Estimated Range of Awards: $500,000 - 5,000,000 per 36-month project period. Estimated Number of Awards: 30. Project Period: Up to 36 months. 

In 1988, the Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) Preservation grant program was established to document, preserve, and stabilize historic structures on HBCU campuses. Historic resources on campuses of accredited Historically Black Colleges and Universities that are listed or eligible for listing in the National Register of Historic Places either individually or as contributing to a National Register or National Historic Landmark historic district are eligible for this program. Projects must meet major program selection criteria and all work must follow the Secretary of the Interior"s Standards and Guidelines for Archeology and Historic Preservation. Projects may also fund survey, nomination, and preservation planning for historic HBCU campuses.
