The Tribal Self-Governance Program (TSGP) allows Tribes to negotiate with the Indian Health Service (IHS) to start operating programs, services, functions, and activities (PSFAs). This gives Tribes the authority to manage and tailor health care programs to best suit the needs of their communities. Participating in the TSGP gives your Tribe flexibility to tailor your health care needs by choosing one of three ways to get health care from the Federal Government for your citizens. Tribes can choose to: Get health care services directly from the IHS.Contract with the IHS to administer individual programs and services the IHS would otherwise provide. This is referred to as Title I Self-Determination Contracting.Compact with the IHS to assume control over health care programs the IHS would otherwise provide. This is referred to as Title V Self-Governance Compacting or the TSGP. These options are not exclusive. You may choose to combine options based on your Tribe's needs and circumstances. The purpose of this negotiation cooperative agreement is to help Tribes cover the costs of preparing for and participating in these negotiations.

Cooperative agreements under the Alzheimer"s Disease Programs Initiative (ADPI)- State Programs for Dementia-Specific Respite Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) is to expand and strengthen additional supports for family caregivers by providing dementia-specific respite services delivered through the National Aging Services Network (State Units on Aging (SUA), Area Agencies on Aging (AAA), and aging network service providers). The program is designed to provide respite relief in support of unpaid family caregivers of people with a probable diagnosis of Alzheimer"s disease or related dementia (ADRD) who need access or additional access to respite care or related services. The primary goal is to reduce caregiver burden and delay institutionalization of people with a probable diagnosis of ADRD through the availability and delivery of dementia-specific respite services. Through this demonstration grant opportunity, states will partner with Area Agencies on Aging (AAA) to coordinate and provide respite services for caregivers with a focus on dementia-specific respite services comparable to existing services provided under the Older Americans Act (OAA). Grant funds will be awarded to SUAs, which will distribute the funds to AAAs to carry out program implementation.Dementia-specific respite services will be made available to eligible unpaid family caregivers of people with a probable diagnosis of ADRD, as well as those under age 60 with younger-onset dementia of any age who would otherwise meet eligibility requirements under OAA funded programs. The Office of Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS) is the component of the U.S. Department of Justice responsible for advancing the practice of community policing and the Administration’s priority of Making America Safe Again by supporting the nation’s state, local, territorial and Tribal law enforcement agencies through information and grant resources. This is a notice of funding opportunity (NOFO) for the FY 26 Tribal Resources Grant Program – Technical Assistance (TRGP-TA) - Invitational program. This opportunity seeks to fund a Village Public Safety Officer training academy and continue funding for the Tribal Community Response Plans (TCRP). TRGP-TA funds are used to develop the capacity of law enforcement to implement community policing through common sense policing strategies, which is a priority of this Administration. Through the TRGP-TA program, the Department of Justice supports this priority by providing information on promising and effective practices, developing and test innovative strategies, and supporting new, creative approaches to preventing crime to address Administration priority areas.

This is a notice of funding opportunity (NOFO) for the FY26 School Violence Prevention Program (SVPP). This funding opportunity seeks to provide competitive funding directly to states, units of local government, Indian tribes, and their public agencies to improve security at schools and on school grounds in the recipient’s jurisdiction through evidence-based school safety programs. The COPS Office anticipates that up to $73,000,000 will be available for up to $500,000 per award, with approximately 200 awards anticipated. A local cost share (matching funds) of at least 25 percent in the form of cash is required unless a match waiver is requested and approved, and the period of performance duration will be 36 months, with a period of performance start date of 10/1/26.

The Flood Mitigation Assistance (FMA) grant program makes federal funds available to states, U.S. territories, federally recognized tribal governments, and local governments to reduce or eliminate the risk of repetitive flood damage to buildings and structures insured under the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) in participating communities. This includes cases involving family preservation, family reunification, guardianship, and adoption. The Tribal Court Improvement Program (TCIP) supports the Administration for Children and Families' (ACF) mission to foster health and well-being by providing partnership and effective delivery of human services.Through this program, ACF partners directly with tribes to strengthen tribal court systems that oversee child welfare matters, helping ensure that children are safe, families are supported, and court proceedings are timely, fair, and legally sound.

The OVW Special Tribal Criminal Jurisdiction (STCJ) Grant Program supports Tribal governments in preparing to exercise or exercising STCJ over non-Indians who commit covered crimes within the Tribe’s jurisdictional boundaries. Covered crimes are assault of Tribal justice personnel; child violence; dating violence; domestic violence; obstruction of justice; sexual violence; sex trafficking; stalking; and violation of a protection order.

The CAP-SSSE program provides funding to ensure adoption and enforcement of standards consistent with the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) minimum criteria in participating and flood-prone communities. This cooperative agreement strives to empower states and territories to own and effectively manage their flood risk and reduce exposure, disaster costs, and recovery demands by providing planning flexibility, tools and best practices, and FEMA expertise to support implementation of their NFIP programs. This cooperative agreement funds NFIP Coordinating Agencies to conduct specific activities in support of NFIP administration and enables independent investment to build capacity and capability in line with the provisions set forth in 44 C.F.R. § 60.25.

Tribal Wildlife Grants provide technical and financial assistance to federally recognized Tribes for the development and implementation of programs that benefit fish and wildlife and their habitats. Funding may be used for conserving any plant or animal species of interest to a Tribe, including those of Native American cultural or traditional importance. The Federal Transit Administration (FTA) announces the opportunity to apply for $18,954,885 in competitive grants for the Fiscal Year (FY) 2026 Public Transportation on Indian Reservations (Tribal Transit) Competitive Program under Assistance Listing Number 20.509.

This program supports efforts by States, Indian Tribes, and units of local government to prevent, enforce, and prosecute cybercrimes against individuals. Cybercrimes against individuals are defined as criminal offenses that involve the use of a computer to harass, threaten, stalk, extort, coerce, cause fear to, or intimidate an individual, or without consent distribute intimate images of an adult, except that use of a computer need not be an element of the offense.

The Tribal Sexual Assault Services Program (TSASP) assists Indian Tribes, Tribal organizations, and nonprofit Tribal organizations in providing “intervention, advocacy, accompaniment, support services, and related assistance for adult, youth, and child victims of sexual assault, family and household members of such victims, and those collaterally affected by the victimization, except for the perpetrator of such victimization.”

The Grants to Indian Tribal Governments Program assists Tribal governments (or their authorized designees) in strengthening the criminal justice response to domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, sex trafficking, and stalking in Tribal communities.

The Medical Student Education (MSE) Program provides support to public medical schools in the top quartile of states with a projected primary care provider shortage to expand or support education for medical students preparing to become physicians.

The purpose of this Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) is to provide continuing support for specific pathogen-free (SPF) macaque colonies previously funded under the auspices of PAR-21-089 and PAR-18-669 that support Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV)/Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS) research. Breeding colonies are essential to sustain appropriate SPF macaques for research related to HIV/AIDS. Pedigree SPF macaques are free of certain viruses, which may confound the results of HIV/AIDS-related investigations or present a risk to the personnel who care for the animals. The SPF macaques are genetically characterized for major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class I types, because MHC class I genotypes have large effects on macaque immune responses to Simian Immunodeficiency Virus (SIV) that can induce AIDS in nonhuman primates (NHPs) and on human immune responses to HIV.

The purpose of the High Impact Specialized Innovation Programs (SIPs) is to support the development and demonstration of unique hub capabilities, research platforms and/or resources to address in a timely manner critical gap areas and/or roadblocks in clinical and translational science at awarded UM1 Clinical and Translational Science Awards (CTSA) Program Hubs (PAR-24-272). Successful programs supported through this funding opportunity are expected to lay a strong foundation for future adoption and/or dissemination of capabilities to additional CTSA Program Hubs.
