Authorized under section 2692(b) of the Public Health Service Act (42 U.S.C. § 300ff–111(b)), the DRP provides partial reimbursement to eligible dental schools and accredited dental hygiene programs for the unreimbursed costs of oral health care provided to patients with HIV. Eligible institutions may annually apply for reimbursement based on costs incurred in the prior year.
