This NOFO will support research and evaluation of emerging technology implementation and impact for law enforcement purposes. Topics include policies, trainings, operational and staffing issues; communications strategies associated with technology implementation; and impacts of technology implementation and use on public safety and agency budgets. NIJ encourages researchers and practitioners to partner or build on existing researcher-practitioner partnerships to guide the law enforcement community on the best ways to implement technology to solve contemporary problems in policing. Applying for this funding opportunity involves a two-stage process that begins with submission of a concept paper. Based on the merits of the concept paper, NIJ may request that the applicant submit a full proposal. Applicants should not submit a full proposal unless invited. To carry out a project that protects American communities by enhancing Mexican agencies’ ability to carry conduct undercover operations against transnational criminal organizations and drug cartels threatening U.S. national security. The goal of this NOFO is to gather unique information not collected by other federal programs to gain a better understanding of the resources (e.g., services, supports) and opportunities (e.g., education, employment, housing, social participation) needed to reduce morbidity, mortality, and economic impacts and improve other long-term outcomes for people with autism or Fragile X Syndrome (FXS) across the lifespan. CDC proposes to implement three components in this NOFO.Component A: Survey to Promote Resources and Opportunities for aUtistic Teens and young adults (SPROUT) will utilize cohorts from the Study to Explore Early Development (SEED) Phases 1-3 (collected from 2007-2020), which were case-control studies of autism in children 2-5 years of age. This Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) seeks applications to optimize instrumentation and device technologies for recording and modulation of neural cells and circuits, to address major challenges and to enable transformative understanding of dynamic signaling in the central nervous system. It is expected that the proposed technologies and approaches have previously demonstrated their transformative potential through initial proof-of-concept testing, and are ready for accelerated refinement through iterative engineering and end-user feedback, appropriate for a path towards sustainable dissemination and user-friendly incorporation into routine neuroscience research. The purpose of this NOFO is to improved awareness and knowledge of alpha-gal syndrome (AGS) in the United States. AGS is an emerging condition and is not nationally notifiable. This NOFO seeks to improve AGS surveillance, patient care, and public awareness and understanding. The NOFO strategies are to 1) SHARE - Formation of a network of AGS professionals to disseminate latest knowledge of AGS among stakeholders, including public health agencies, academic researchers, and advocacy groups, in order to improve patient care for AGS and the public health response. 2) EDUCATE - Create AGS communications targeted at the general public, AGS patients, or persons at higher risk for tick encounters (outdoor enthusiasts, dog owners, outdoor workers, etc.). Create communications targeted at healthcare providers including educational resources and training. 3) TRACK - Conduct active or enhances public health surveillance for AGS. States play an essential role in conserving and recovering species listed as endangered or threatened under the Endangered Species Act (ESA), 16 U.S.C. 1535. Listed species under NOAA’s National Marine Fisheries Service’s (NMFS) jurisdiction may spend all or part of their life cycles in state waters, and success in conserving these species depends largely on working cooperatively with the States. NMFS is authorized to provide Federal assistance to eligible State agencies to support the development and implementation of conservation programs for listed marine and anadromous species that reside within that State. This assistance, provided in the form of grants or cooperative agreements through the Species Recovery Grants to States Program, can be used to support conservation activities for any endangered or threatened species, as well as monitoring candidate species, recently delisted species, and species proposed for listing under the ESA. Funded activities may include development and implementation of management efforts, scientific research, and public education and outreach. Proposals should seek to address priority actions in ESA Recovery Plans or Recovery Outlines to the extent possible. The purpose of this Program Announcement (PAR) is to enable clinical validation of strong candidate biomarkers for neurological diseases and conditions. Specifically, the goal of this PAR is to enable the rigorous validation of biomarker measurements within the clinical population of interest to establish the positive and negative predictive values of the candidate biomarker consistent with FDA guidelines. This PAR assumes that 1) a candidate biomarker has already been identified, 2) detection method technology has already been developed and analytically validated, and 3) the research and/or clinical need and potential context of use has been identified.

The purpose of this notice of funding opportunity (NOFO) is to support rigorous analytical validation of method(s) used for measuring biomarkers for neurological and neuromuscular disorders for use in clinical trials or clinical practice. Applicants must justify the unmet need for the biomarker(s) and measurement methods and specify one or two context(s) of use for the biomarker(s). The purpose of this proposed Notice of Funding Announcement (NOFO) is to support development of biomarkers or clinical outcomes derived from digital health technology (DHT) for use in clinical trials for remote monitoring as primary or secondary endpoints. To improve clinical impact, increase statistical feasibility, and promote standardization, applicants will be expected to develop and test the digitally derived assessments in populations from at least three different diseases or conditions.
