This announcement (NOFO) encourages applications for multi-center clinical trials focused on neurological emergencies. Successful applicants will collaborate and conduct the trial within the NIH SIREN Network. The NIH SIREN Clinical Coordinating Center (CCC) will work with the successful applicants to implement the proposed trial efficiently and the SIREN Data Coordinating Center (DCC) will provide statistical and data management support. The NIH SIREN hubs and their affiliated clinical sites will provide on-site implementation of the clinical protocols.The NIH SIREN Network will also be uniquely poised to collaborate with other US and international consortia necessary to conduct larger, definitive trials of promising interventions for neurological emergencies.Multi-center clinical trials in stroke treatment, recovery, or prevention supported by NINDS will be conducted in the NIH StrokeNet, and not within SIREN. The purpose of this document is to advise the public that NOAA/NOS/National Centers for Coastal Ocean Science (NCCOS) Competitive Research Program (NCCOS/CRP) [formerly Center for Sponsored Coastal Ocean Research (CSCOR)/Coastal Ocean Program (COP)] is soliciting proposals for the Prevention, Control and Mitigation of Harmful Algal Bloom (PCMHAB) program. The PCMHAB program seeks to develop and transition technologies and strategies for preventing, controlling, or mitigating harmful algal blooms and their impacts. For this announcement, PCMHAB will prioritize proposals focused on the comprehensive testing of harmful algal bloom control technologies that fit one of the two following focal areas: (1) promising control technologies that are in need of further testing to prove feasibility; and (2) proven control technologies that are still in need of large-scale field testing or that are already approved related control technologies (e.g., freshwater harmful algal blooms, oil spills, etc.) that could be transferable to harmful algal blooms in the marine environment. Funding is contingent upon availability of Federal appropriations. It is anticipated that approximately $2,500,000 may be available to support the first year of three to five projects. The National Coastal Wetlands Conservation Grant Program supports the long‐term conservation of coastal wetland ecosystems for the benefit of coastal communities, fish and wildlife and their habitats, and the recreating public. The Program provides designated State and Territory agencies with cost sharing awards for projects that protect and restore valuable coastal wetland resources. Projects may include the acquisition of real property interests in a coastal wetland ecosystem and the restoration, enhancement, or management of coastal wetlands.Coastal wetlands are valued because they protect against flooding, help maintain water quality, and provide habitats for fish and wildlife. Coastal environments are also important economically, generating billions of dollars annually through recreational and commercial fishing, boating, and tourism.The Program is co-administered by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service's Coastal Program and the Office of Conservation Investment. Grants for Arts Projects (GAP) provides project-based funding for organizations in the areas of Arts Education, Challenge America, Dance, Design & Our Town, Folk & Traditional Arts, Literary Arts, Local Arts Agencies, Museums, Music, Opera, Presenting & Multidisciplinary Works, Theater & Musical Theater, and Visual and Media Arts. Funded activities may include a wide range of arts projects described in the application guidelines. Awards require a 1:1 cost share. A.    Background   The overall goal of this project is to improve water quality conditions in Willow Creek Reservoir for the benefit of the community of Heppner, Oregon, and surrounding area. The reservoir is characterized by several water quality concerns, including dense cyanobacteria (or blue-green algae) blooms, low dissolved oxygen concentrations, and high nutrient concentrations. Cyanobacteria blooms are known to produce toxins, thereby threatening the aquatic ecosystem and potentially exposing humans and animals to risk of death or chronic illness such as neurodegeneration and liver damage. Each summer, Willow Creek Reservoir post’s health advisories warning users of the potential hazards associated with recreational activities on the lake. Furthermore, fish kills, foul odors and other nuisances are common in Willow Creek Reservoir affecting the community’s ambiance, limiting tourism and recreation on the lake.   This analysis draws upon prior research, readily available data, and new research and data to develop and implement an evaluation program for the restoration of Willow Creek Reservoir and its upper basin. Research results will provide public benefit through enhanced water quality in Willow Creek Reservoir producing public recreation opportunities and natural resource benefits. The purpose of this NOFO is to improved awareness and knowledge of alpha-gal syndrome (AGS) in the United States. AGS is an emerging condition and is not nationally notifiable. This NOFO seeks to improve AGS surveillance, patient care, and public awareness and understanding. The NOFO strategies are to 1) SHARE - Formation of a network of AGS professionals to disseminate latest knowledge of AGS among stakeholders, including public health agencies, academic researchers, and advocacy groups, in order to improve patient care for AGS and the public health response. 2) EDUCATE - Create AGS communications targeted at the general public, AGS patients, or persons at higher risk for tick encounters (outdoor enthusiasts, dog owners, outdoor workers, etc.). Create communications targeted at healthcare providers including educational resources and training. 3) TRACK - Conduct active or enhances public health surveillance for AGS. This strategy could involve patient populations or geographical locations with limited access to specialized healthcare provider care.

The purpose of this Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) is to solicit applications for a new Clinical Trial Center (CTC) and up to seven Clinical Centers (CCs) for the HeartShare 2.0 program. The CTC will coordinate precision clinical trial activities focused on heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF), including master protocol development, project management, recruitment oversight, performance milestones, and scientific conduct of trials. The CCs will recruit and retain heart failure patients and controls. The Arctic Exchange Program (AEP) aims to advance economic prosperity in the United States (Alaska), Canada, and Greenland through short-term exchange activities focused on two overarching themes: Arctic tourism development and critical minerals supply chain resilience. The AEP will consist of three targeted exchange activities with distinct cohorts of approximately eight to 10 participants each. The Global Leaders Division in the Office of Citizen Exchanges at the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) seeks proposals for a cooperative agreement to design and implement the FY 2026 Community Engagement Exchange (CEE). CEE is a two-way exchange initiative for approximately 30-40 emerging civic leaders (ages 22-27), from Europe and Eurasia, that provides skill-based training, hands-on activities, and practical application of one of the First Amendment’s most fundamental rights: the freedom of speech. Grounded in the enduring principles of the U.S. Constitution, CEE equips participants with the skills to promote free speech, reduce conflict and strengthen community engagement. CEE participants will work alongside American counterparts in a substantive six- to eight-week exchange program, including a four-to five-week individually tailored professional placement in a U.S. organization, designed to cultivate practical First Amendment (1A) skills. Approximately 15–20 Americans will travel on reciprocal visits, co-designed with CEE participants, that showcase America’s leadership, promote free speech, and create opportunities for sustained collaboration. CEE advances U.S. foreign policy by strengthening the free speech and community engagement, promoting constructive public discourse, and fostering international partners equipped to address complex challenges in alignment with U.S. interests. ECA announces an open competition for a cooperative agreement to develop and implement a program that will convene cultural ministers from key countries at an iconic location in the United States for high level discussions on cultural heritage and cultural property protection as part of the State Department’s programming to mark America’s 250th birthday. The implementing partner will work closely with ECA to develop the program’s one-to-two-day exchange agenda, including showcasing innovation and new technologies of the U.S. private sector and other American institutions in the cultural heritage field; strengthening cooperation in combatting art and antiquities trafficking; and using cultural heritage to amplify global narratives on America’s foundational values. The convening will feature U.S. models, standards, and best practices; strengthen relationships with key countries in the cultural heritage field; and produce concrete follow-on steps to advance the program’s agenda.
