The Japanese American Confinement Sites Grant Program provides financial assistance to organizations and entities working to preserve historic Japanese American confinement sites and their history, including: private nonprofit organizations; educational institutions; state, local, and tribal governments; and other public entities, for the preservation and interpretation of U.S. confinement sites where Japanese Americans were detained during World War II. The authorizing legislation for the Japanese American Confinement Sites Grant Program identifies up to $38 million for the entire life of the grant program for projects to identify, research, evaluate, interpret, protect, restore, repair, and acquire historic confinement sites in order that present and future generations may learn and gain inspiration from these sites and that these sites will demonstrate the Nation"s commitment to equal justice under the law (Public Law 109-441, 120 Stat. 3288; as amended by Public Law 111-88). Projects funded through the Japanese American Confinement Sites Grant Program must benefit one or more historic Japanese American confinement sites. The term historic confinement sites is defined as the ten War Relocation Authority sites (Gila River, Granada, Heart Mountain, Jerome, Manzanar, Minidoka, Poston, Rohwer, Topaz, and Tule Lake), as well as other historically significant locations, as determined by the Secretary of the Interior, where Japanese Americans were detained during World War II. The Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2023 (Public Law 117-328, Sec 644) reauthorized the Japanese American Confinement Sites (JACS) Grant Program and established the Norman Y. Mineta Japanese American Confinement Education (JACE) grants, which seeks to educate the public about the historical importance of understanding Japanese American confinement in the United States during World War II, so that present and future generations may learn from Japanese American confinement and the commitment of the United States to equal justice under the law.Through a competitive grant process, the Norman Y. Mineta Japanese American Confinement Education (JACE) grants will provide financial assistance to Japanese American organizations for large impactful education projects. Up to $10 million was authorized for the life of the JACE grants. Individual awards shall be in an amount not less than $750,000. Eligible grant applicants are limited to Japanese American organizations, defined in the authorizing legislation as, "... a private nonprofit organization within the United States established to promote the understanding and appreciation of the ethnic and cultural diversity of the United States by illustrating the Japanese American experience throughout the history of the United States." U.S. Embassy Abidjan’s Public Diplomacy Section is seeking proposals to implement a workforce development and skills-building program through its network of American Spaces. This program aims to build a pipeline of skilled, English-capable Ivoirian youth who can support4U.S. trade, investment, and innovation partnerships while expanding economic opportunity and stability in Côte d’Ivoire.The project will target university students, educators, and early-career professionals (ages 17–40) in key cities including Abidjan, Yamoussoukro, Bouaké, and Korhogo. The U.S. Department of State’s Embassy Brazzaville announces an open competition to implement a program designed to advance key U.S. foreign policy priorities in the Republic of the Congo (ROC). This program will celebrate the Freedom 250 milestone, promote American innovation and technology, and highlight the upcoming World Cup hosted in the United States. It will also foster stronger commercial ties by promoting American businesses and trade between the U.S. and ROC.The program aims to counter illegal immigration to the United States and combat trafficking in persons within the ROC, while also promoting the English language and American culture. Additionally, the initiative will strengthen the U.S. Government (USG) alumni networks in the ROC, building on existing relationships and expanding the reach of U.S. public diplomacy.Target audiences include youth, entrepreneurs, educators, civil society leaders, and USG program alumni. Eligible recipients are Congolese and U.S.-based non-profit organizations, educational institutions, and other qualified entities with experience in public diplomacy, education, entrepreneurship, or anti-trafficking initiatives.By supporting these objectives, the program will reinforce the U.S.-ROC partnership, promote shared values, and contribute to regional stability and prosperity. 

The purpose of the Special Research Grants Program for Aquaculture Research (Assistance Listing Number 10.200) is to support the development of a vibrant, robust, and profitable aquaculture industry in the United States by generating new, science-based information and technology to address industry constraints. Applied research is needed to develop practical solutions that will facilitate growth and remove limitations to expansion of the United States aquaculture industry. Results of projects supported by this program are intended to help improve the profitability of the United States aquaculture industry, reduce the multi-billion-dollar United States seafood trade deficit, increase domestic food security, expand markets for United States-produced products, and provide more jobs for rural and coastal America.

The goal of this NOFO is to gather unique information not collected by other federal programs to gain a better understanding of the resources (e.g., services, supports) and opportunities (e.g., education, employment, housing, social participation) needed to reduce morbidity, mortality, and economic impacts and improve other long-term outcomes for people with autism or Fragile X Syndrome (FXS) across the lifespan. CDC proposes to implement three components in this NOFO.Component A: Survey to Promote Resources and Opportunities for aUtistic Teens and young adults (SPROUT) will utilize cohorts from the Study to Explore Early Development (SEED) Phases 1-3 (collected from 2007-2020), which were case-control studies of autism in children 2-5 years of age. Participants will range from about 10-25 years of age when this NOFO is awarded. SPROUT will be comprised of caregiver and self-report surveys intended to offer unique information on (1) service and support needs and the impact of co-occurring conditions on autistic people and their families and (2) the educational, transitional, social, and/or vocational needs and experiences of autistic adolescents and young adults. Information from these surveys will be used to improve the health and wellbeing of autistic people and their families. To provide travel logistics support for law enforcement and criminal justice sector reform assistance programs in Bolivia. This program will enable INL Bolivia to deliver timely technical assistance to key Bolivian agencies working to combat transnational criminal organizations (TCOs) and prevent foreign terrorist organizations (FTOs) from operating in the country.

To carry out a project that protects American communities by enhancing Mexican agencies’ ability to carry conduct undercover operations against transnational criminal organizations and drug cartels threatening U.S. national security.
