The overall purpose of the Older Adult Home Modification Program (OAHMP) is to assist experienced nonprofit organizations, state and local governments, and public housing authorities in undertaking comprehensive programs that make safety and functional home modification repairs and renovations to meet the needs of low-income seniors. The goal of the home modification program is to enable low-income elderly persons to remain in their homes through low-cost, low barrier, high impact home modifications to reduce older adults" risk of falling, improve general safety, increase accessibility, and to improve their functional abilities in their home. This will enable older adults to remain in their homes, that is, to "age in place," rather than move to nursing homes or other assisted care facilities.

The purpose of the Lead Hazard Reduction (LHR) Grant Program is to maximize the number of children under the age of six protected from lead poisoning by assisting states, Native American Tribes, cities, counties/parishes, or other units of local government in undertaking comprehensive programs to identify and control lead-based paint hazards in eligible privately-owned rental or owner-occupied housing, which must be target housing. In addition, there is Healthy Homes Supplemental funding available that is intended to enhance the lead-based paint hazard control activities by comprehensively identifying and addressing other housing hazards that affect occupant health in homes with lead-based paint hazards being treated under the grant.

The Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs’ Office of Assistance Coordination (NEA/AC) seeks proposals for projects in Egypt that advance U.S. commercial diplomacy and put American interests first. Proposals must demonstrate how projects will leverage assistance as a tool of statecraft to advance U.S. economic, security, and diplomatic objectives. Programming should promote trade, not aid, by leveraging assistance resources to champion American enterprise and infrastructure and catalyze private capital through market principles. Proposals may address sectors including: energy development and exports; trade facilitation; emerging technologies (particularly AI and telecommunications); critical infrastructure (aviation, transport); critical minerals; regional economic integration; advanced manufacturing; workforce training aligned with U.S. business needs; and economic recovery in conflict-affected areas. Projects should orient implementing partners toward the American business community, foster burden-sharing, and demonstrate how they will help U.S. businesses secure foreign contracts and tenders for key projects. NEA/AC may decide to grant multiple awards, one award, or no awards, subject to funding availability and proposal viability.

The U.S. Department of State’s Embassy Amman announces an open competition to implement a program titled Reel American: The Road to the Olympic Rings. Reel American is a 21-month public diplomacy film program designed to showcase American excellence in sports and build excitement ahead of the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Los Angeles. Beginning in October 2026 and continuing through June 2028, the program will host one film screening per month, showcasing classic American sports films that highlight the nation's rich athletic history and tradition of competitive excellence. The program targets 1,000 youth participants, ages 16–25, engaging the next generation of global leaders, athletes, and cultural ambassadors at a pivotal moment in their personal and professional development. Through curated screenings and accompanying discussions, participants will gain insight into American values such as teamwork, perseverance, and competition. This program directly advances U.S. foreign policy priorities by celebrating America's proven capacity to host large-scale international events and by reinforcing the United States' legacy of sports excellence on the world stage. As Los Angeles prepares to welcome the world in 2028, Reel American promotes a positive narrative of American achievement and lays the groundwork for successful public engagement throughout the Olympic cycle. The U.S. Department of State’s Embassy Amman announces an open competition to design and implement Qissati ma3 America —a digital storytelling campaign that shares the firsthand experiences of Jordanian alumni of U.S. Department of State-funded exchange programs. Jordan is home to thousands of alumni of U.S. government funded exchange programs — professionals, policymakers, entrepreneurs, educators, athletes, and artists who have lived and studied in the United States. Despite the impact of these programs, alumni stories rarely reach the broader Jordanian public, limiting opportunities to build understanding of American society through firsthand experiences. This initiative will address the gap by transforming alumni perspectives of the United States into a public resource — giving every alumnus the opportunity to share their American story. 3 The recipient will produce a curated collection of at least 50 multimedia stories highlighting American life for Jordanian audiences: its classrooms, campuses, technology culture, sports, and creative industries. The video stories will be archived in a public digital hub and amplified through social media, alumni networks, and traditional media. The OVW State and Territory Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Coalitions Program (Coalitions Program) supports the critical work of state and territory domestic violence and sexual assault coalitions and is a set-aside program under the OVW STOP Violence Against Women Formula Grant Program statute. These organizations play an important role in advancing the goal of ending domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking.
