The application should propose a collaborative training program that will strengthen the capacity of a LMIC institution to conduct infectious disease research. FIC will support research-training programs that focus on major endemic or life-threatening emerging infectious diseases, neglected tropical diseases, infections that frequently occur as co-infections in HIV infected individuals or infections associated with non-communicable disease conditions of public health importance in LMICs. The purpose of the Promise Neighborhoods program is to significantly improve the academic and developmental outcomes of children and youth living in the most distressed communities of the United States, including ensuring school readiness, high school graduation, and access to a community-based continuum of high-quality services. Products can be tangible items, such as drugs or devices, or can be knowledge products, such as clinical decision-making tools or practice guidelines. This opportunity supports the provision of services to crime victims in American Indian/Alaska Native communities through a discretionary administrative formula program funded under a set-aside designated by law from the Crime Victims Fund. The program is not competitive and is open only to federally recognized Indian Tribes, Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act Regional Corporations, and their authorized designees. Funding may be used to support a Tribe's victim services and is available for a range of expenses. Tribes can also use Tribal Victim Services Set-Aside grants for construction or for refurbishing, renovating, or improving structures for victim services office space, shelter for victims, and related purposes.

The Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) of the U.S. Department of State seeks applications from qualified organizations to implement a program aimed at enhancing the operational capacity of the Specialized Departments for Organized Crime and Corruption in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH) and Republika Srpska (RS). Bosnia and Herzegovina sits along the "Balkan route" for drug and weapons trafficking, and BiH-based criminals are key members of powerful transnational criminal organizations (TCOs) that cooperate with global cartels, launder hundreds of millions of dollars through BiH, and rely on corruption and weak judicial capacity to evade accountability. This program will address critical gaps in prosecutorial expertise, interagency coordination, and international cooperation by strengthening the capacity of FBiH and RS Specialized Department prosecutors and judges to effectively investigate, prosecute, and secure convictions in complex organized crime and corruption cases. Through targeted technical assistance, mentoring partnerships with U.S. prosecutors, and institutional and legal reforms, the program will degrade TCO networks that threaten U.S. security, undermine governance, and destabilize a key European partner.

The purpose of the Small Health Care Provider Quality Improvement Program is to strengthen the quality improvement culture in small rural healthcare facilities by building capacity to effectively collect and use clinical data while implementing evidence-based approaches to improve health care quality with a particular focus on improving chronic disease outcomes. Additionally, the program strengthens the skills and collaboration of the billing and coding staff in coordination with the front-line clinical staff. By creating a sustainable quality improvement capacity in small hospitals and clinics, these facilities will be better positioned to take part in value-based care models while also enhancing health care status for their patients.

Recipients must use AEI funds to "develop, implement, carry out, or coordinate programs or activities designed to obtain enforcement of the rights granted by [the Act] or by State or local laws that provide rights and remedies for alleged discriminatory housing practices that are substantially equivalent to the rights and remedies provided in [the Act]..." 42 USC § 3616a(a); 24 CFR § 125.201.

The program funds organizations to build capacity to engage in fair housing enforcement activities and fair housing enforcement related activities, and engage in such activities for the purpose of supporting the continued development or implementation of initiatives which enforce the rights granted under the Fair Housing Act, particularly in those areas of the country which are currently underserved by fair housing enforcement organizations as well as those areas where large concentrations of people with protected characteristics exist.

The Administration for Children and Families (ACF), through the Children's Bureau, will fund a cooperative agreement to develop, implement, and evaluate a demonstration program of post-adoption support services for birth parents who have voluntarily placed their children for private domestic adoption. This initiative is founded on the recognition that the well-being of all parties in an adoption is essential. Birth parents often benefit from access to support and resources following their placement for adoption.This demonstration program will provide services including, but not limited to, support groups and supportive services and resources. The goal is to identify and promote effective models of support that contribute to the positive adjustment and well-being of birth parents. A central component of this project is a rigorous evaluation to measure the effectiveness of the services provided and to develop a model that can be replicated by other organizations nationally. This work directly supports ACF's mission to promote the social well-being of families and individuals.
