The Rangeland Management program conducts inventories, assessments and evaluations of soil and vegetation conditions and land health. Monitoring data is collected and analyzed to ensure progress toward meeting land health standards.Funded projects under this program will focus on high priority work effecting the program nationally by crossing state boundaries, such as, activities that support maintaining or achieving land health and productivity, increasing soil carbon sequestration, and creating resilient landscapes to benefit current and future generations. These activities could include, but are not limited to, such things as:Facilitating the restoration of rangelands.Soils mapping and development of ecological site descriptions.Engagement of community members and other stakeholders, through mentoring, training, and educational programs.

The goal is to find, study, protect, and manage archaeological resources in Lincoln County, Nevada. All work should follow U.S. Department of the Interior priorities and support Eastern Nevada"s conservation and development goals.Project ObjectivesEach project should meet one or more of these objectives:Protect archaeological sites where they are found.Care for archaeological collections and records.Use and share research results in clear ways.Increase public outreach and involvement in archeology.Balance current land use with future needs by:Protecting archaeological resources for the future.Restoring damaged watersheds to safeguard sites.Support science and culture by managing archaeological resources responsibly.Lincoln County Archeology Initiative projects must follow the rules in the Lincoln County Land Act, which uses the Archaeological Resources Protection Act (Public Law 96-95) definition of archaeological resources. This means that only proposals about things at least 100 years old can get funding. Anything newer than that will not be funded.

The TCEP-CA under assistance listing 10.517, supports informal, community-based extension projects that address agriculture, youths, economic development, healthy lifestyles, natural resources, or other topics important to Tribal communities. This NOFO will begin a new 4-year continuation funding cycle. 

Tribal Wildlife Grants provide technical and financial assistance to federally recognized Tribes for the development and implementation of programs that benefit fish and wildlife and their habitats. Funding may be used for conserving any plant or animal species of interest to a Tribe, including those of Native American cultural or traditional importance. The grants are an adaptable resource supporting tribal conservation priorities. The Fulbright U.S. and Visiting Scholar Programs annually provide approximately 970 awards to U.S. scholars and professionals to lecture and/or conduct research overseas and approximately 1,025 awards to visiting (non-U.S.) scholars to lecture and/or conduct research in the United States. The Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) invites proposals for cooperative agreements to implement the FY 2026 (Academic Year 2027-2028) Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange (CBYX) for Young Professionals program and outbound Congress-Bundestag/Bundesrat Staff Exchange (CBBSX) travel component.  The CBYX for Young Professionals and CBBSX programs advance America’s national interests by building lasting personal and institutional relationships that promote prosperity and security between the United States and Germany.    Key Activities:         CBYX for Young Professionals: ·      Approximately 65 American and approximately 65 German participants, ages 18.5-24, engage in year-long academic and professional exchanges. ·      American participants complete two months of in-country German language training, study for one semester at a German university, technical, or professional school, and gain practical work experience. ·      German participants study for one semester at a U.S. university, college, technical, or professional school and gain practical work experience. ·      Both American and German participants live with host families throughout the program year. CBBSX: ·      Ten U.S. Congressional and 10 German parliamentary staffers participate in a short-term reciprocal exchange with each other’s legislatures. ·      The U.S. recipient organization provides travel and administrative support for the outbound CBBSX exchange by coordinating round-trip airfare for the U.S. delegation. The U.S. Department of State’s Embassy Bujumbura announces an open competition to implement a program to support U.S. policy objectives and promote shared interests. Projects must promote Freedom250 and align with policy goals such as making the United States safer, stronger, and more prosperous. Specifically, the projects should showcase American leadership and excellence in sports-particularly in Basketball, and health, notably by celebrating American sports excellence during the American decade of sports. The target audience should be youth and young professionals aged 15-35 representing emerging voices, as well as opinion leaders to convey information and reach the broader population. The program shall pursue four core goals: advancing U.S. public diplomacy, strengthening people-to-people ties, capitalizing on the Decade of Sport, and promoting physical and mental health. The U.S. Department of State's Embassy in the Philippines announces an opportunity to implement a professional exchange program bringing approximately twelve high-merit educators from the Philippines, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, and Brunei to the United States for direct, immersive exposure to American approaches to AI and educational technology integration in English language instruction. Participants are selected based on professional merit and institutional influence, and include university professors, language instructors, academic administrators, curriculum planners, teacher trainers, and ministry officials with the authority to shape national policy and procurement decisions in their home countries. Over a two-week exchange spanning at least two U.S. cities, participants engage in a structured program combining academic sessions, community site visits, and direct engagement with American industry and civil society. Site visits include U.S. companies working at the frontier of AI and educational technology, as well as organizations focused on responsible AI governance and human-centered technology frameworks, equipping participants to evaluate AI tools against both commercial and ethical standards. TheChemical OceanographyProgram supports research into the chemistry of the oceans and the role of the oceans in global geochemical cycles. Areas of interest include chemical composition, speciation, and transformation; chemical exchanges between the oceans and other components of the Earth system; internal cycling in oceans, seas, and estuaries; and the use of measured chemical distributions as indicators of physical, biological, and geological processes.

The Biological Oceanography Program supports fundamental research in biological oceanography and marine ecologyin environments ranging from estuarine, coastal, and open ocean systems to the deep sea, as well as in the Great Lakes.Proposals submitted to the Program must have a compelling context in population, community, or ecosystem ecology or oceanography, as well as address topics that will contribute significantly to the understanding of marine or Great Lakes ecosystems. The Cognitive Neuroscience (CogNeuro) program seeks to fund proposals that can advance our understanding of the neural mechanisms underlying human cognition and behavior. Funded proposals typically relate precise and rich quantifications of physiological responses and behavior in ways that advance theory (Intellectual Merit). Funded proposal also typically strengthen the field through, for example, outreach, mentoring the next generation of diverse cognitive neuroscientists, and/or increasing awareness and utilization of the research the field produces (Broader Impacts). Intellectual Merit In general, successful proposals provide a theoretical motivation and consist of a series of experiments/analyses that test the differential predictions of that theory; they go beyond quantifying physiology during certain tasks and behaviors. Research topics considered for funding include but are not limited to: perception, recognition, categorization, implicit and explicit memory, working memory, attention, language, decision-making, and social reasoning. The primary objective of the Cultural Anthropology Program is to support fundamental, systematic anthropological research and training to increase understanding of the causes, consequences and complexities of human social and cultural variability. The Cultural Anthropology Program welcomes proposals from researchers in all sub-fields of cultural anthropology and research at any temporal or spatial scale. Methodologies and approaches employed may include ethnographic field research, surveys, remote sensing, the collection of bio-markers, experimental research inside or outside of laboratory settings, archival research, the analysis of materials collections and extant data bases, mathematical and computational modeling and other research tools as appropriate for the proposed research. The overarching research goals should be to produce empirically grounded findings that will be generalizable beyond particular case studies and contribute to building a more robust anthropological science of human society and culture. The U.S. National Science Foundation's mandate is to support basic scientific research. Basic research in cultural anthropology means theory-generating and theory-testing research that creates new knowledge about human culture and society. The Physical Oceanography Program supports research on a wide range of topics associated with the structure and movement of the ocean, with the way in which it transports various quantities, with the way the ocean's physical structure interacts with the biological and chemical processes within it, and with interactions between the ocean and the atmosphere, solid earth and ice that surround it.

Summary: The fiscal year 2026 (FY26) Epilepsy Research Program (ERP) Idea Development Award (IDA) solicits novel research that has the potential to increase understanding of post-traumatic epilepsy (PTE) and associated comorbidities to improve quality of life, especially in Service Members, Veterans and/or their care partners. The work should innovatively challenge existing research paradigms, exhibit high levels of creativity and be a new research direction for the investigator. Summary: The intent of the Epilepsy Research Program (ERP) Research Partnership Award is to support new or existing research partnerships focused on collaboratively addressing critical questions relevant to post-traumatic epilepsy (PTE) in a manner that would be unachievable through separate efforts. It is expected that investigators will utilize their distinct but complementary perspectives to synergistically address a central problem or question critical to PTE research and those living with PTE, their families and/or their care partners.Distinctive Features: This funding mechanism requires that a minimum of two investigators partner in one overarching study. This project will fully support a newly established analytical center within the Bosnia and Herzegovina State Prosecutors Office that can provide a data-driven analysis and tailored investigative mentoring to combat TCOs that threaten U.S. security through illicit finance, corruption, narcotics trafficking, and other cross-border criminal activity.

The purpose of this program is to develop and establish new Community Behavioral Health Clinics to address gaps in behavioral health services and improve the wellbeing of persons with mental health and substance use disorders.

The purpose of the CCBHC State Planning Grants is to support states in: developing and implementing certification systems for CCBHCs; establishing Prospective Payment Systems (PPS) for Medicaid reimbursable behavioral health services; and preparing an application to participate in a four-year Section 223 CCBHC Demonstration program. 

The purpose of this program is to sustain and enhance services at existing Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics (CCBHCs). This includes serving individuals across the lifespan with or at risk for mental health and/or substance use disorders (SUDs). CCBHCs are community-based clinics that offer coordinated, evidence-based outpatient services, including crisis services, while also enhancing access for anyone in need and coordinating care to mitigate gaps in care.

The NIH Director"s New Innovator Award supports early-stage investigators of exceptional creativity who propose bold and highly innovative research projects with the potential to produce a major impact on broad, important areas relevant to the mission of NIH.
