This purpose of the GlobalX Challenge is to accelerate the traditional knowledge generation cycle, proving or disproving an applied research theory on an advanced timeline, leading to the discovery of revolutionary dual-use capability for the benefit of the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps, the commercial marketplace, and the public. The expected outcomes of this Challenge are promising, potentially game-changing, applied concepts whose maturity may be accelerated under separate follow-on technology development efforts.

Project Background, Goals, and ObjectivesIn an era of global disruption and rapid technological change, secure and resilient supply chains are more critical than ever. This workshop will bring together early-stage professionals from across Southeast Asia to explore how supply chains operate, the impact of advanced technologies, and the critical minerals that power modern economies. The purpose of this award is to carry out a project to strengthen Honduras’ ability to manage seized evidence in a secure, transparent, and standardized manner, reducing vulnerabilities that transnational criminal organizations exploit to evade prosecution and sustain illicit markets.

The U.S. Department of Labor (DOL, the Department, or we), Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA or the Agency), is providing notice of the availability of up to $250,000 in grant funds for education and training programs to help the mining community identify, avoid, and prevent unsafe and unhealthy working conditions in and around mines.The program uses grant funds to establish and implement education and training programs, to create training materials and programs, or both. Section 14 of the Mine Improvement and New Emergency Response Act of 2006 (MINER Act) requires the Secretary of Labor (Secretary) to give priority to mine safety demonstrations and pilot projects with broad applicability. The MINER Act also mandates that the Secretary emphasize programs and materials that target miners in smaller mines, including training mine operators and miners about new MSHA standards, high-risk activities, and other identified safety hazards.Applicants may be states, territories and tribal governments (including the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, American Samoa, Guam, the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, and Federally recognized tribes) and public or private nonprofit entities. The United States Marine Highway Program (USMHP), codified at 46 U.S.C. 55601, was originally established by Section 1121 of the Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007 to reduce landside congestion through the designation of Marine Highway Routes. The USMHP statute authorizes the U.S. Department of Transportation (“Department” or “DOT”) to make grants to implement Projects or components of Projects that 1) provide a coordinated and capable alternative to landside transportation; mitigate or relieve landside congestion; promote Marine Highway Transportation; or use vessels documented under 46 U.S.C. chapter 121; and 2) develop, expand, or promote Marine Highway Transportation or shipper use of Marine Highway Transportation

The Tribal Colleges and Universities Program (TCUP) provides awards to federally recognized1 Tribal Colleges and Universities, Alaska Native-serving institutions, and Native Hawaiian-serving institutions to promote high quality science (including sociology, psychology, anthropology, linguistics, economics and bioeconomics, statistics, and other social and behavioral sciences; natural sciences; computer science, including, but not limited to, artificial intelligence, quantum information science, and cybersecurity), technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM), STEM education, research, and outreach. The Pathways to Enable Secure Open-Source Ecosystems (PESOSE) program supports the translation of open-source science and engineering-focused research products into safe and sustainable ecosystems that address national and societal challenges. Open-source tools such as software, hardware, machine learning models, languages, and data platforms are designed to be shared as they are publicly-accessible and modifiable. These tools spark innovation in critical fields as varied as artificial intelligence (AI) and cloud computing, banking, healthcare, research, education, next-gen manufacturing, mobility, and National security (including cybersecurity). PESOSE supports the creation of managing organizations for these ecosystems, ensuring strong governance, distributed development, and broad user communities across academia, industry, and government. PESOSE also supports enhancements to the safety, security, and privacy of Open-Source Ecosystems (OSE) by addressing significant vulnerabilities, both technical and socio-technical, to improve the resistance of the ecosystem against threats. This solicitation seeks three types of proposals, allowing teams to propose specific activities to:1) scope and planthe establishment of an OSE, 2)establishand expand a sustainable OSE based on a robust, promising open-source product that meets an emergent societal or national need, and 3) improve the safety, security, and privacy of an existing OSE and its products.

This program supports efforts by States, Indian Tribes, and units of local government to prevent, enforce, and prosecute cybercrimes against individuals. Cybercrimes against individuals are defined as criminal offenses that involve the use of a computer to harass, threaten, stalk, extort, coerce, cause fear to, or intimidate an individual, or without consent distribute intimate images of an adult, except that use of a computer need not be an element of the offense.

The Grants to Indian Tribal Governments Program assists Tribal governments (or their authorized designees) in strengthening the criminal justice response to domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, sex trafficking, and stalking in Tribal communities.

The Tribal Sexual Assault Services Program (TSASP) assists Indian Tribes, Tribal organizations, and nonprofit Tribal organizations in providing “intervention, advocacy, accompaniment, support services, and related assistance for adult, youth, and child victims of sexual assault, family and household members of such victims, and those collaterally affected by the victimization, except for the perpetrator of such victimization.”

The Medical Student Education (MSE) Program provides support to public medical schools in the top quartile of states with a projected primary care provider shortage to expand or support education for medical students preparing to become physicians.

Expected Impact:The projects must contribute to the realisation of additional renewable energy capacity across the EU in a cost-effective way and the timely delivery of renewable energy statistics to the participating Member States. Summary: The fiscal year 2026 (FY26) Lung Cancer Research Program (LCRP) Idea Development Award (IDA) supports conceptually innovative, high-risk/high-reward research that could lead to critical discoveries or major advancements that will accelerate progress toward eradicating deaths and suffering from lung cancer. This mechanism promotes new ideas that are in the early stages of development and have the potential to yield impactful data and new avenues of investigation. Research must address at least one of the FY26 LCRP areas of emphasis.Distinctive Features: This FY26 LCRP IDA mechanism has a New Investigator category that is designed to allow applicants early in their faculty appointments to compete for funding separately from established investigators. Preliminary data to support the feasibility of the research hypotheses and research approaches are required; however, these data do not necessarily need to be derived from studies of lung cancer.

Summary: The fiscal year 2026 (FY26) Lung Cancer Research Program (LCRP) Translational Research Award (TRA) supports advanced translational research that will foster transformation of promising ideas in lung cancer into clinical applications. Research must address at least one of the FY26 LCRP areas of emphasis.Distinctive Features: This funding mechanism intends to support a broad range of translational studies and allows application submission under: Funding Level 1 – Advanced/late-stage preclinical work or correlative studies; or Funding Level 2 – Pilot clinical trials of novel interventions.

Summary: The fiscal year 2026 (FY26) Lung Cancer Research Program (LCRP) Patient-Centered Outcomes and Survivorship Award (PCOSA) promotes evidence-based and patient-centered approaches to improve health and lung cancer related outcomes and enhance the patient experience in defined populations. Research must address at least one of the FY26 LCRP areas of emphasis in the Health Outcomes and Survivorship category.Distinctive Features:• This funding mechanism requires the research team to include an advocate who is a lung cancer patient/survivor or caregiver.• This funding mechanism allows proposed projects to include translational or clinical research, including pilot clinical trials.

Summary: The fiscal year 2026 (FY26) Prostate Cancer Research Program (PCRP) Data Science Award (DSA) supports research that develops or uses quantitative and analytical approaches, processes and/or systems to obtain knowledge and insight from large and/or complex sets of prostate cancer data in one or more of the following research areas: Analysis of clinically annotated datasets; analysis of -omics data; artificial intelligence and machine learning; bioinformatics; computational biology; digital pathology; epidemiology; and medical imaging. All applications must address one of the FY26 PCRP Overarching Challenges. Distinctive Features: This funding mechanism allows for multiple Principal Investigators (PIs). Only the initiating PI will submit a pre-application, but all PIs will need to submit full applications. The partnering PI application is an abbreviated package specific to their distinct portion of the research project. Be advised, all associated applications for a research project may be withdrawn if the initiating or partnering application is rejected or administratively withdrawn.

Summary: The fiscal year 2026 (FY26) Prostate Cancer Research Program (PCRP) Early Investigator Research Award (EIRA) supports prostate cancer research conducted by investigators in the early stages of their careers with guidance from an experienced mentor.
