The National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS) invites applications for the Awards Supporting Cutting-Edge Technologies for Translational Science (ASCETTS) Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) to foster investigator-initiated development of highly innovative technologies to address barriers, limitations, or bottlenecks in translational science particularly for therapeutic development. This program will support the early-stage proof of concept, high-risk and potentially high-reward studies for feasibility and exploratory technology development, which can transform or significantly improve the efficiency of therapeutic development to achieve NCATS ultimate goals - more treatments to all people more quickly. The research proposed should be for the development of technology that can break new ground or extend present technology toward new directions or novel applications. With this initiative, we expect to support the development and/or prototyping of new technologies that will lead to improved efficiency in the therapeutic development pipeline.

Through CSP State Entity grants, the Department awards grants on a competitive basis to State entities that, in turn, award subgrants to eligible applicants for the purpose of opening new charter schools and replicating and expanding high-quality charter schools. This program provides financial assistance to State entities to support charter schools that serve elementary and secondary school students in States with a State statute specifically authorizing the establishment of charter schools. Charter schools receiving funds under this program may also serve students in early childhood education programs or post secondary students.

The purpose of this Funding Opportunity Announcement is to invite proposals for funding from established organizations interested in providing innovative hands-on, in-person manufacturing training and technical assistance to eligible small manufacturing business concerns, under the U.S. Small Business Administration's Empower to Grow Program (formerly known as 7(j) Management and Technical Assistance Program).

The Gulf of America Division (“GAD”), located in U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (“EPA”) Region 4, is part of the EPA Great Water Body program that collaborates to protect, maintain, and restore the health and productivity of the Gulf of America consistent with the economic well-being of the region. EPA’s actions are designed to support improved water quality; to enhance, restore and/or protect natural habitats; and to improve the region’s ability to withstand storm events. This notice announces the availability of funds and solicits applications to improve water quality and/or habitat through collaboration with America’s farmers. The Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration¿s (PHMSA) FY 2026 CAAP NOFO solicits research proposals from nonprofit institutions of higher education for the Pipeline Safety Research and Development (R&D) Program. This program is authorized by section 12 of the Pipeline Safety Improvement Act of 2002 (Pub. L. 107-355) and 49¿U.S.C. § 60117(l). The CAAP competitive research announcement will focus on the following objectives: - Early corrosion prediction for pipelines and implementing appropriate mitigation measures. - Economical and novel agents to mitigate internal or external pipeline corrosion due to microbial-induced corrosion.- Artificial intelligence (AI)-assisted software package to assist with composite repair design.¿¿- AI-assisted software tool for interpretation of standards/regulations and properly applying the requirements.¿- Non-destructive inspection technology for cast iron pipeline inspection.- AI-enhanced liquid pipeline leak detection methodologies. ¿

The purpose of this NOFO is to improved awareness and knowledge of alpha-gal syndrome (AGS) in the United States. AGS is an emerging condition and is not nationally notifiable. This NOFO seeks to improve AGS surveillance, patient care, and public awareness and understanding. The NOFO strategies are to 1) SHARE - Formation of a network of AGS professionals to disseminate latest knowledge of AGS among stakeholders, including public health agencies, academic researchers, and advocacy groups, in order to improve patient care for AGS and the public health response. 2) EDUCATE - Create AGS communications targeted at the general public, AGS patients, or persons at higher risk for tick encounters (outdoor enthusiasts, dog owners, outdoor workers, etc.). Create communications targeted at healthcare providers including educational resources and training. 3) TRACK - Conduct active or enhances public health surveillance for AGS. This strategy could involve patient populations or geographical locations with limited access to specialized healthcare provider care.

This NOFO will award up to $150 million in Federal funding to eligible entities to reduce idling and emissions at port facilities, including through the advancement of port electrification. The $150 million represents the combined amounts authorized for this program for Fiscal Years (FYs) 2024, 2025, and 2026. FHWA may also award any remaining and available funds from FY 2023 under this opportunity. The actual amount available to be awarded under this notice will be subject to the availability of funds. There is no minimum or maximum award amount for the RTEPF Competitive Grant Program awards.

PHMSA seeks to provide funding to states to reduce damage to underground pipelines. Excavation damage is a leading cause of pipeline incidents in the United States. Since 2008, PHMSA has awarded more than $23.5 million in SDP grants to more than 40 state-designated entities to assist with pipeline damage prevention enforcement, outreach, and education.

The purpose of the Damage Prevention grants is to establish comprehensive state programs designed to prevent damage to underground pipelines in states that do not have such programs and to improve damage prevention programs in states that do. This funding announcement is open for organizations who successfully submitted to Opportunity VA-SPORTS-26 to submit an amendment to the grant application package, as described under 38 C.F.R. 77.6. States play an essential role in conserving and recovering species listed as endangered or threatened under the Endangered Species Act (ESA), 16 U.S.C. 1535. Listed species under NOAA’s National Marine Fisheries Service’s (NMFS) jurisdiction may spend all or part of their life cycles in state waters, and success in conserving these species depends largely on working cooperatively with the States. NMFS is authorized to provide Federal assistance to eligible State agencies to support the development and implementation of conservation programs for listed marine and anadromous species that reside within that State. This assistance, provided in the form of grants or cooperative agreements through the Species Recovery Grants to States Program, can be used to support conservation activities for any endangered or threatened species, as well as monitoring candidate species, recently delisted species, and species proposed for listing under the ESA. Funded activities may include development and implementation of management efforts, scientific research, and public education and outreach. Proposals should seek to address priority actions in ESA Recovery Plans or Recovery Outlines to the extent possible. Any State agency that has entered into an agreement with NMFS pursuant to section 6(c) of the ESA or enters into such an agreement within 30 days of the application deadline is eligible to apply under this solicitation. The purpose of this Program Announcement (PAR) is to enable clinical validation of strong candidate biomarkers for neurological diseases and conditions. Specifically, the goal of this PAR is to enable the rigorous validation of biomarker measurements within the clinical population of interest to establish the positive and negative predictive values of the candidate biomarker consistent with FDA guidelines. This PAR assumes that 1) a candidate biomarker has already been identified, 2) detection method technology has already been developed and analytically validated, and 3) the research and/or clinical need and potential context of use has been identified.

The purpose of this notice of funding opportunity (NOFO) is to support rigorous analytical validation of method(s) used for measuring biomarkers for neurological and neuromuscular disorders for use in clinical trials or clinical practice. Applicants must justify the unmet need for the biomarker(s) and measurement methods and specify one or two context(s) of use for the biomarker(s). Activities supported include optimizing and evaluating the accuracy, precision, reportable range, and analytical sensitivity and specificity of the detection method across multiple sites and operators and establishing reference intervals and quality control procedures.
