The National Research Service Award (NRSA) program supports the training of postdoctoral researchers in biomedical, behavioral, and health services research. Funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and administered in part by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), the program aims to develop a skilled research workforce to advance scientific knowledge in primary care. Under HRSA, the NRSA program provides support to train postdoctoral health care professionals who are planning to pursue careers in biomedical and behavioral health research related to primary care. As the nation"s population grows and ages, the need for well-trained primary care researchers to study the complex array of issues facing the primary care workforce gains greater importance. The NRSA Institutional Research Training Grants administered by HRSA are awarded to eligible institutions to develop or enhance postdoctoral research training opportunities for individuals who are planning to pursue careers in primary care research.

The purpose of the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program (RWHAP) Part F Dental Reimbursement Program (DRP) is to improve access to oral health care services for low-income people with HIV, and related education and training to dental providers serving people with HIV. Authorized under section 2692(b) of the Public Health Service Act (42 U.S.C. § 300ff–111(b)), the DRP provides partial reimbursement to eligible dental schools and accredited dental hygiene programs for the unreimbursed costs of oral health care provided to patients with HIV. Eligible institutions may annually apply for reimbursement based on costs incurred in the prior year. Available funds are distributed among all eligible applicants, taking into account the number of patients with HIV served and the extent of unreimbursed care costs relative to other applicants.

The purpose of the Hereditary Hemorrhagic Telangiectasia (HHT) Center Program is to reduce illness and death related to HHT by partnering with clinical center to expand access and coordination of care; creating innovative strategies that support clinicians with identifying and diagnosing HHT cases; and developing a de-identified, aggregate patient data registry to better understand this rare disease and its treatment outcomes.

The Transforming Pediatrics for Early Childhood Program (TPEC) will advance the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services" Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) priorities by preventing chronic disease early in life and promoting healthy development in early childhood. TPEC recipients - organizations with statewide or tribal reach - will place early childhood development (ECD) experts in local pediatric practices to deliver team-based care to young children and their families. Recipients will improve the quality and cost effectiveness of pediatric primary care by delivering a comprehensive team-based approach that focuses on factors critical to child development. Through this approach, pediatric primary care staff will: ​Screen families for their needs related to mental health, housing, nutrition, and child development; ​Build safe, stable, and nurturing relationships between caregivers and their children; ​Educate caregivers on developmental milestones and how to watch for them; and ​Make sure that families get referrals and access to additional or specialized support. The Emergency Medical Services for Children National Pediatric Readiness Coordinating Center (EMSC NPRCC) demonstration program will work to assess and expand "Pediatric Readiness" in hospital emergency departments (ED) and pre-hospital emergency medical services (EMS) systems. Because children have unique physiological, emotional, and developmental characteristics, specialized emergency care is needed. Pediatric Readiness ensures that every EMS and fire-rescue agency and ED has the pediatric-specific leadership, competencies, policies, equipment, and other resources needed to provide high-quality emergency care for children, no matter where they live, attend school, or travel in the United States.

The State Office of Rural Health (SORH) Program assists states in strengthening rural health care delivery systems by maintaining a focal point for rural health. This program funds an institutional framework in each state that links small rural communities with state and federal resources to help develop long-term solutions to improve access to, and the quality of care for the nearly 60 million people living in rural communities.

The purpose of the Early Childhood Comprehensive Systems SEED Project: Scaling Effective Early Childhood Systems Development (ECCS SEED) is to address the root causes of chronic disease in early childhood by improving families" access to health care, screening kids early for physical and mental health needs, and connecting parents to services that enable them to provide for their children. The ECCS SEED Project will partner with states and communities to support evidence-based strategies that improve access to quality care for prenatal-to-age-5 (P-5) families and promote healthy child development and family well-being.

This 4-year program is supported with funding from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services" Minority HIV/AIDS Fund (MHAF) and is administered by the Health Resources & Services Administration"s HIV/AIDS Bureau. This funding opportunity was developed with input from the Division of Clinical and Community Services, HIV/HCV/STI Branch at the Indian Health Service, which will serve in a consultation capacity to the recipients. The MCH Leadership, Education, and Advancement in Undergraduate Pathways (LEAP) Training Program establishes pathway programs that aim to expand the MCH workforce. These programs increase access to healthcare and public health services for maternal and child health (MCH) populations, including in rural or other underserved communities.

This Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program Part B Supplemental funding is a statutory funding supplement provided through the HIV Care Grant Program. States/territories use RWHAP Part B Supplemental Grant Program funding in conjunction with RWHAP Part B HIV Care Grant Program funding to develop and enhance access to a comprehensive continuum of high-quality care and treatment services for low-income people with HIV. To obtain funding, states/territories must demonstrate that RWHAP Part B supplemental funding is necessary to provide comprehensive HIV care and treatment services for people with HIV in the state/territory.

The Rural Northern Border Region Network Planning (RNBR-NP) Program provides one-year funding to build new or strengthen existing healthcare networks in the Northern Border Region. RNBR-NP uses network development as a strategy for linking rural health care stakeholders together for greater collective capacity to overcome local challenges, expand access, and improve the quality of care in the rural communities these organizations serve.

The NFLP seeks to increase the number of qualified nursing faculty nationwide by providing:Low-interest loans for students studying to be nurse faculty. Loan cancelation for graduates who go on to work as faculty. NFLP graduates can have up to 85 percent of their student loan and interest canceled if they work full-time as nurse faculty for up to four years. This includes Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRNs) who work full-time as preceptors in academic-practice partnerships.

This four-year funding opportunity is supported by the HRSA Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program Part F: Special Projects of National Significance Program. This Special Projects of National Significance initiative uses implementation science to adapt, implement and evaluate interventions that improve food and nutrition security for people with HIV who are eligible for Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program"s medical nutrition therapy, food bank/home delivered meals, and other applicable service categories. The Office of the Assistant Secretary for Health (OASH), Office of Population Affairs (OPA) anticipates the availability of funds for Fiscal Year (FY) 2026 grants under the authority of Division B of the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2026 (Public Law No. 119–75). The purpose of the NIA Career Transition Award (CTA) is to facilitate the transition of mentored researchers to tenure-track faculty conducting research that advances the mission of NIA. This three-year award provides protected time through salary and research support and is targeted at applicants who plan to start a tenure-track faculty position within a year of the award.

The 811 PRA program promotes the development of innovative state-level strategies to increase access to new and existing affordable supportive housing units for persons with disabilities. The program also supports collaborations between State Housing Agencies and State Health and Human Service/Medicaid Agencies to increase access to supportive services. Many states have already formed partnerships to address this need, and HUD intends to further support these efforts while incentivizing other states to take similar approaches.This program gives states the flexibility to award and administer these funds to address the shortage of affordable and integrated housing for persons with disabilities. Housing agencies may either directly administer the rental assistance contracts for eligible properties or contract with other qualified parties to administer this assistance.
